e-Clearance for Afterlife Remains (eCARe) Portal :
To streamline and expedite the process of Public Health Clearance for transporting human remains to India from different countries, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India has developed the e-Clearance for Afterlife Remains (eCARe) portal : https://ecare.mohfw.gov.in The initiative is to bring all stakeholders including the consignee, Airport Health Organisation, and the airlines on a single interface and to facilitate smooth and timely clearance of documents with automatic periodic alerts and live status tracking.

Steps to be followed for online application:
Step 1:
Visit the website: https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/ . Apply for the desired services, upload the required documents on the portal and submit the application.
Step 2:
Based on the documents uploaded and the services applied, the Embassy will verify the application and the applicant will receive a notification in this regard. In case of objection while verification, the same will be intimated to the applicant through the online portal. In this case the applicants are required to re-submit the application after uploading the relevant documents. The Embassy will again verify the application and intimate the status though the same online portal.
Step 3:
Once the applicant receives the confirmation of verification, they are required to visit the Embassy with a printed online application form along with one set of copies of all the documents uploaded online and prescribed fee in cash as well as the original documents. The application can be submitted between 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on all working days.
Step 4:
The ready documents can be collected either on the next working day or any working day thereafter between 16:00 to 17:00 hrs.

Applicants are advised to visit the Embassy only after the approval of application by the Embassy through online mode.

Police Complaint Report in case of loss or theft

A statement by the applicant explaining circumstances in which passport was lost/stolen/damaged

Affidavit signed by applicant stating that he/she has neither acquired nor applied for any other country's nationality/citizenship

The application should be supported by any other document issued to the applicant in India - Driving License, ration card, voters Identity Card, etc.
Change in Passport Details (Appearance/ Address/ Name/ Signature/ Maiden Name/Others):- For reissuing of passport, the following documents are required by the Embassy to process the application: -

Print/hard copy of duly filled online application form (All the information in the form should strictly match the old Passport.)

Four (4) recent colour photographs (front view against light background). It may be noted the photograph should be SQUARE of size 4cm X 4cm and signature of size 1.5cm X 4.5cm, strictly as per requirements mentioned.

Current passport in original (with self-attested copy)

Self-attested copy of Residence Permit/Visa

In case of change in address, documentary proof (copy of electricity bill, telephone bill, allotment letter, etc) may be enclosed.

In case of change of name, copy of Cuttings of two leading newspapers (one in India and the other in Belarus) carrying advertisement notifying the change of name and asking for any objection thereof to be reported to Embassy of India within 30 days of the publication and also a Sworn Affidavit in the prescribed format may be enclosed.

In case of change of signature, a Sworn Affidavit in general format may be enclosed.

In case of Change of maiden name upon marriage or re-marriage or divorce or death of spouse, Marriage certificate (or divorce deed or death certificate), Affidavit in the prescribe format joint photograph (in case of marriage or re-marriage) may be submitted.

In case of Change of any particular mentioned under lamination cover - Correction of spellings of names, Date of Birth, Documentary proof to affect the change may be submitted.

In case of deletion of spouse's name, Court decree dissolving the marriage or death certificate may be submitted.

In case of inclusion of Spouse’s name, Marriage Certificate may be submitted.

Any certificate, if from India, should be attested by the Home Department of the State Government concerned and counter attested by the Ministry of External affairs, CPV Division, Patiala House Annexe, Tilak Marg, New Delhi.
Time Taken:- It takes about 15 days for issue of a new passport. In case, PV is delayed, it may take longer time. The applicants are advised to wait for call from Embassy.
Fee:- As applicable for new passport.
